The movie Here comes out this week, reuniting Tom Hanks and Robin Wright with their Forrest Gump director Robert Zemekis. The movie is said to be experimental, with the camera fixed on one area to show a nonlinear story/stories that happen in a particular space across a broad range of time. Here is based on a comic and then graphic novel by Richard McGuire; both would be useful for reviewing with teens but the original comic is located, well, here. I could see this as useful for an activity in story mapping, BrainFraming (or other sequence graphic organizer), or timelining the events shown.

I find myself amaze at the different spaces and how there are opportunities for narrative interpretations across fields. And as I look through it, it's pretty astounding between the industries how varied it really is. However, with the flooring installation services, the material, designs, and even types of installations it does tell the story in a space-no matter what corner of the modern world it hangs between being traditional. Just like the depth that narrative interpretation can add to a film or book, the thoughtful selection of flooring in a house can make or break the mood and atmosphere of a room. It's a unique approach to bring creativity into everyday projects, be it selecting the right flooring for the home or business.
